Brunch has become the trendiest meal of the day over the past several years, and more and more, Wichita restaurants are adding weekend menus that allow people to hang out and recap their weekend adventures over Eggs Benedict and Bloody Marys.
Now, two more longtime Wichita restaurants are getting in on the weekend brunch business.
One is 6S Steakhouse , Brandon Steven’s fine-dining restaurant at 6200 W. 21st St. It’s been open since 2018 and has offered occasional brunches over the years. But the new iteration started on Feb. 2.
“We kind of just thought of it one day,” said Chrysta Gillum, the restaurant’s assistant general manager. “We thought, ‘Why aren’t we hosting brunch, especially on the west side?’”
The new 6S brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Customers order from a special menu that includes starters like avocado toast and truffle cheese fries, four different salads, and breakfast items like steak and eggs, Eggs Benedict, and a breakfast sandwich made on an English muffin with bacon, egg, cheese and garlic mayo.
