EMPORIA ( KSNT ) – A 29-year-old woman from Wichita was injured after a crash on I-35 southeast of Emporia.
At 6:32 p.m. on Tuesday, a 72-year-old man from Wichita was checking their GPS while stopped in the second southbound lane of I-35, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.
The 29-year-old was driving south on I-35. The woman was unable to avoid crashing into the 72-year-old’s vehicle because lane one was filled, according to the crash log.
The 29-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. Two juveniles were present in the woman’s car but their information was protected, according to the log.

Everyone whose information was public was wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
