Expect delays on US Highway 81 later this month

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Work will begin soon on a portion of U.S. Highway 81 in south-central Kansas.

The Kansas Department of Transportation says crews will start crack repair on the highway on Monday, Feb. 26. During the repair work, traffic will be reduced to one lane with flaggers and a pilot car. Drivers can expect delays that could last up to 15 minutes.

The project is expected to be finished by March 22. Pavement Pros of McPherson is the primary contractor for the $145,776 project.
