Black History Month benefit concert to take place Feb. 25

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Black History Month benefit concert featuring ARISE (African-Americans Renewing Interest in Spirituals Ensemble) and Holy Savior Catholic Academy students is on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m. at the new gym of Holy Savior Catholic Academy. Tickets are $25 and $5 for children.

It is the second annual concert with Holy Savior. ARISE will perform, and then the students of the school. Both will then perform together.

“We get to join them together, and so they can see how music really affects their lives throughout and how it can be a stepping stone for them for their education career and professional careers as well,” said Delia Shropshire, president of Holy Savior Catholic Academy.
