Campers overturned, power out as severe storms move through Kansas early Tuesday

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Severe thunderstorms moved through northern Kansas early Tuesday morning. The storms produced multiple severe thunderstorm warnings and had wind gusts recorded from 60 to 90 mph.

  • 5 NNE Gorham – Russell County – 65 mph gust
  • Russell Airport – Russell County – 85 mph gust
  • 3 NNE Bunker Hill – Russell County – 93 mph gust
  • 7 SW Sylvan Grove – Russell County – 67 mph gust
  • Lincoln – Lincoln County – 80 mph gust
  • 2 SW Salina – Saline County – 58 mph gust
  • 5 NNW New Cambria – Saline County – 79 mph gust
  • Russell – Russell County – Power lines down, and power poles snapped
