Fallen firefighter Ty Voth’s dignified transfer Saturday morning

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The dignified transfer of Ty Voth, a Wichita firefighter who died in the line of duty on Thursday, is going through Wichita on Saturday morning.

The transfer started at 11 a.m. at the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center at 1109 N. Minneapolis, and will end at Resthaven Mortuary at 11800 W. Kellogg.

The route went east on 10th St. before turning south on Minnesota. It then turned east on 9th St. and headed south at Hillside, by Firehouse 5.

The transfer stayed south until reaching Douglas Ave., where it went west until McLean. It then headed northbound toward Central Ave., which ends up heading west after the Arkansas River.

From there, it continued on Central until Tyler, traveling by Firehouse 8, and then went south on Tyler to Maple.

The dignified transfer took Maple west to 119th St., traveling by Firehouse 17 before heading south on 119th to Resthaven Mortuary.
