Park City getting another big development

PARK CITY, Kan. (KSNW) — Less than two months after breaking ground on Champtown in Park City , officials are breaking ground on another big project for the town. The new development is called Park Centre and is being spearheaded by the same developer, Lange Real Estate.

Park Centre is a mixed-use development going in southeast of 61st Street North and Hydraulic. The groundbreaking ceremony is Friday.

Lange Real Estate said the project is a collaboration with the City of Park City. The goal is to create a downtown district for the city.

Park Centre’s focal point will be a central park that will double as a farm and art market. There will also be a 416-unit apartment complex with eight separate buildings, a pool, and a clubhouse. An 89-unit townhouse complex will also be available.

Park Centre will also have 96,000 square feet of commercial space for lease for stores, restaurants, medical offices, and others.

“The Wichita metro area continues to grow in all directions, and we’ve especially seen that with Park City, which welcomed a million-square-foot Amazon distribution center last year,” Mayor John Lehnherr said in a news release. “That kind of growth brings jobs and opportunity, but it also creates demand for new housing and shopping options like Park Centre.”
