WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Wichita public pool has received an award from an international trade magazine.
Aquatics International has named Harvest Park Pool the winner of its 2024 Dream Designs Award for Leisure Pool/Family Aquatics Center. The magazine is a commercial swimming pool and waterpark industry trade magazine for both national and international markets.
Past recipients of the Dream Design Award include facilities in California, Texas, and Nevada. It’s not the first recognition of Wichita by the magazine: in 2022, Linwood Park’s splash pad received Aquatics International’s Dream Design Award for sprayparks .
The new Harvest Park Pool, originally built in 1970, was designed by Urban Prairie Architectural Collaborative and Waters Edge Aquatic Design . Wichita’s Dondlinger and Sons served as the general contractor on the project.
Arkansas City enters Stage 1 Water Watch
Harvest Park isn’t the only facility in the Wichita area to be recognized by Aquatics International. Blastoff Bay in Goddard has received the 2024 Dream Design Award for Leisure/Waterparks .
