Dates when ‘Big Boy,’ the 1.2 million pound Union Pacific train, will be in Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — KSN News is finally learning the details of the historic Union Pacific railroad engine’s visit to Kansas.

Big Boy No. 4014, a 1.2 million pound locomotive, will depart on the “Heartland of America Tour” on Wednesday, Aug. 28 , from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and travel across Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. The eight-week tour concludes on October 23.
