WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita’s City Council is recommending changes to the ordinance on short-term rentals and will discuss the issue in its meeting on Aug. 20. The proposed changes come after shootings have happened and short-term rentals rented for parties for minors. On Sept. 12, City Council approved new rules for owners of short-term rentals to be licensed with the city. Under those changes, short-term rentals are subject to inspections by the city, based on complains.
