City of Wichita says water restrictions working, shares numbers

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – After more than two weeks of restrictions, the City of Wichita offered further insight into how much water is being saved. When the City of Wichita put water restrictions in place on Aug. 5, they said the goal was to reduce water usage by 10%. On Thursday, the city announced that we’re meeting that goal. The conservation effort comes with the depth of Cheney Lake, a main water source for Wichita, dropping amid continuing drought.
