McConnell airshow canceled due to weather

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW)—McConnell Air Force Base announced Sunday morning that it is canceling the McConnell Frontiers in Flight Airshow due to weather.

“A slow-moving storm brought [wind] gusts in excess of 50mph to the McConnell flightline.  Because of damage to services, we are unable to execute a safe airshow,” read the 9:45 a.m. news release.

McConnell apologizes for the late cancellation.

“Safety is always our first priority at McConnell, especially when it comes to hosting the public for an airshow,” concluded the news realese.
