NEWTON, Kan. – The Newton Police Department recently acquired a new radar trailer to help remind drivers of the speed limit and draw attention to their driving. The trailer is currently in action in the 300 block of North Main. The red and blue lights blink if a vehicle goes over the posted speed limit of 20 mph. Staff will be moving the trailer to various areas around town to help encourage safe driving.
