Mayor Wu says Wichita’s water situation is improving

Mayor Lily Wu says Wichitans seem to be accepting the City’s mandatory water conservation plan. Wu says the Public Works Department had a positive report last week, with a reduction in usage since August 6. Wu says it’s good that Mother Nature is helping out with some Rain, but we need more to replenish Cheney Reservoir, the City’s primary water source.

Mayor Wu was the only “no” vote when the City Council approved next year’s City budget. She says she will be looking for opportunities to be more efficient, and she would like to see more than one recommendation in the future.

Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
