Canadian high pressure dominates across the central plains with mainly clear skies and a light east to southeast breeze.
A very pleasant Saturday is ahead of us with plenty of sunshine and below average temperatures across the Sunflower state reaching highs in the upper 70s and low 80s in central Kansas and mid to upper 80s in western parts of the state. Wichita’s forecast high of 77 is 9 degrees below our average September 7th high of 86.
The weather could not be nicer for the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson this weekend with pleasantly warm afternoons and pleasant evenings.
Another pleasantly cool night is ahead with lows dropping into the autumn-like lower to middle 50s statewide.
A very weak disturbance will get close enough to western Kansas for an isolated shower or storm later tonight and early Sunday while the rest of us remain dry overnight.
