Charges looming weeks after hit-and-run death of Wichita man

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – Charges have yet to be filed nearly three weeks after the arrest of a 23-year-old driver accused of hitting and killing a man on an electric bicycle. Christopher Johnson was booked into jail on Thursday, August 22 for felony hit-and-run in the death of 43-year-old Tad Doyle. He was later released. Online court records show no pending charges, and a Wichita Police Department spokesperson said Tuesday that the case is still under investigation.
