Man arrested after gun fired near Interfaith Ministries

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita Police say a man is in custody after a gun was fired near Interfaith Ministries.

It happened shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday, outside an apartment building at 8th and Market north of downtown Wichita. Police were called to the report of a disturbance with shots fired.

When they arrived, they learned that there had been a fight outside the building, and a man had fired a gun at the ground and then gone inside a residence. Police say they tried to get the man to step outside and talk to officers, but he refused.
