WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – One person is in critical condition, and another person received minor injuries from a shooting in west Wichita Sunday afternoon.
According to the Wichita Police Department, shortly after 12:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 100 S. Ridge Road regarding a shooting after multiple reports.
As officers were responding, an officer from a state agency located a person with gunshot wounds at Ridge and Newell. They were taken to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.
During this time, officers located another vehicle involved based on statements from multiple calling parties. A vehicle stop was conducted at O’Neil and Ridge Road.
In the car were three occupants. One of those occupants was discovered to have minor injuries that appeared to be from a gunshot wound. They were treated on scene.
The three individuals were all detained.
