Wichita’s first west-side 7 Brew is open.
The drive-through coffee kiosk is at 325 S. Ridge Road, which is in the northeast corner of the Lowe’s at Maple and Ridge, officially opens to the public on Monday. But operating partner Conner Johnson is inviting anyone to attend his “friends-and-family” soft-opening period — which lasts through Sunday. A soft opening is a kind of practice run for new employees to practice their jobs.
During that time, people who drive through can get a free small drink for everyone in the car. The soft-opening hours are 3 to 6 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The shop will open for its regular hours on Monday, and through Friday, Sept. 27, people can still get free small drinks during certain hours: 7 to 8 a.m., noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.
The shop’s grand opening celebration — which the chain calls “Swag Day” — happens on Saturday, Sept. 28. That day, anyone who orders a large drink gets a free 7 Brew T-shirt.
Wichita’s first 7 Brew coffee drive through opened in September 2022 at 3031 E. Central . After that, two more east-side 7 Brews opened — one at 110 N. Rock Road and another at 11465 E . 21st St .
