Wesley opens new rehabilitation center by hospital

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wesley Healthcare opened a new 41-bed rehabilitation center at 833 N. Vassar, northeast of the hospital, on Tuesday. The 58,000-square-foot center is worth $60 million.

The center will work with patients who require intense rehab following a stroke, trauma or spinal injury.

“We are in the courtyard, which is an important component of the healing process as you see ramps and stairs and curbs. Everything that a patient will encounter in everyday life – so they can practice those while they are here at our facility along with all of our gym equipment,” Bill Voloch, president and CEO of Wesley Healthcare, said.

Voloch says the new center is centrally located, which is a plus for both east and west Wichita residents.
