WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita Police Chief Joe Sullivan provided an update on the shooting outside Cessna Elementary School at 45th Street South and Clarence that took place on Monday. The shooting involved a couple in a domestic dispute and a deputy.
Chief Sullivan said 911 dispatch received reports of the shooting around 9:15 a.m. Monday. A Sedgwick County Sheriff’s deputy heard the call and responded.
When he arrived, he found a 46-year-old Wichita man with a handgun. The man made statements that the deputy would kill him while pointing the gun at the deputy.
