Wrong-way driver causes crash on I-235 in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A wrong-way driver caused a crash Thursday on Interstate 235 in west Wichita, just north of Kellogg. It happened around 1:30 a.m.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Nissan Altima driven by a 23-year-old Florida woman was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-235 when it collided with a northbound Kia Soul.

The Soul’s 71-year-old driver and 60-year-old passenger, both from Clearwater, suffered minor injuries. The passenger was taken to St. Francis.

The driver of the Altima suffered a possible injury but was not transported to the hospital.
