WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – Police have blocked off an area of north central Wichita following a situation involving a barricaded subject. The Wichita Police Department says the situation began at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday when an officer inside an unmarked police car was doing surveillance on the area of 1400 N Grove in relation to a string of robberies in the area.
