WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office said no charges will be filed in connection to the death of Jeffrey Moss, 51, who was hit and killed by a Wichita Police Department patrol vehicle in February.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on Feb. 17. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Moss was walking northbound across MacArthur Road near Seneca when a WPD Ford Explorer hit him. Moss died at the scene.

The KHP investigated the crash , and then the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office reviewed it.
“Our office has completed its review of the case and determined there is insufficient evidence of criminal liability on the part of the officer involved,” Deputy District Attorney Aaron Breitenbach said in a news release. “As a result, no charges will be filed.”
