20 year old Rose Hill man remembered, dies from injuries in motorcycle accident

ROSE HILL, Kan. (KSNW) — Family and friends of 20-year-old Brody Griffitts said he would give the shirt off his back to help a stranger.

His girlfriend tells KSN’s Derek Lytle that their son Ropyr just turned one, and it is painful to come to terms with Brody not getting the chance to watch him grow up.

Two weeks ago, out for a ride with friends, Brody Griffitts’ motorcycle crashed, causing him to hit his head on the pavement. 14 days later, he died from his injuries after a fight in the ICU.

Grace Mohr, his girlfriend, said a loss like this is all too familiar.

“My mom passed away when I was five, so I always had my dad; this is hitting my dad hard, too, because he’s seeing me have to go through the same thing that he went through,” said Mohr.

Grace and Brody had plans to build their dream home together. She said those around her are making sure she and their son Ropyr are okay.

“I know that I have a great support system to help me with anything I need to help Roper achieve what Brodie would want him to achieve,” said Mohr.
