Kansas aircraft industry grows post-pandemic despite recent slowdown

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The aircraft industry has rebounded from the employment drop-off in 2020 caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, a recent report shows. The Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR) at Wichita State University found that since 2021, the aircraft manufacturing industry in Kansas has grown by 27%, which equates to 5,124 new jobs.
