Harvey County Health Department temporarily closing to prepare for remodel

NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) – The Harvey County Health Department will be closed to the public from Dec. 26 through Jan. 3 as it prepares for a remodel. The offices are anticipated to reopen on Jan. 6.

The department is currently stationed on the second floor of the three-story building at 215 S. Pine St. During the closure, equipment and technology will be moved to the third floor, where operations will continue during the renovations.

The department is scheduled to return to its permanent home on the second floor in about three months.

The Harvey County Commission approved $1,877,000 for the remodel.
