WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A house fire in Derby on Christmas left a man and his cat dead and forced a neighboring couple to evacuate while crews put out the flames. A man walking his dog called to report the fire just before 11 p.m. at a duplex in the 700 block of East Meadowlark Place, according to the Derby Fire Department.
