DERBY, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) – The Derby panthers came in to Friday’s sub-state championship matchup as the No. 1 seed in the 6A west sub-state with their sights on finishing atop all of class 6A, but a win was needed over Lawrence-Free State to even return to Koch Arena for the 6A State Tournament.
