Kansas bank to expand into Oklahoma

SYRACUSE, Kan. (KSNW) — A Kansas bank has announced it is expanding into Oklahoma.

Dream First Bank has announced it has agreed to purchase Oklahoma-based BancCentral . Dream First operates eight branches in Kansas and one Interactive Teller Machine.

Dream First Bank acquired Heartland Tri-State Bank in Elkhart and its branches in 2023 after its CEO embezzled millions in a cryptocurrency scam, leaving the bank insolvent. The state seized it and sold its assets to Dream First while the former CEO was sentenced to prison.
