Johnson County bridge undergoes emergency repair after 4-foot hole reported

GARDNER, Kan. (KCTV) – A need for emergency repairs forced crews to focus on a Johnson County bridge Monday morning.

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) said someone reported a hole in the Gardner Bridge. The bridge is at 191st Street and Interstate 35.

Maintenance workers accessed the bridge and found a hole roughly four-feet in size. Crews placed a steel plate over the hole for now. KDOT said a permanent repair will take place in the near future…
