U.S. 160 bridge repair begins soon in Wellington

WELLINGTON, Kan. (KSNW) — A bridge repair project on U.S. 160 in Wellington is set to begin soon, the Kansas Department of Transportation said.

The project is for a bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad about one-quarter mile southwest of the U.S. 81 and U.S. 160 west junction in Wellington.

Measles cases more than double in Kansas

Work is expected to begin around April 14 and be completed around the end of September, KDOT said in a news release.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11-foot width restriction. Motorists with wider vehicles should use alternate routes. Flaggers will direct traffic near the railroad tracks, causing possible delays of up to 15 minutes…
