Council starts process to put Crown Uptown Theatre on historic register

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita City Council has started the process of putting the Crown Uptown Theatre on the historic register.

During Tuesday’s council meeting, council members discussed whether to nominate the building for Wichita’s Register of Historic Places. It is part of an effort to save the Crown from demolition.
