WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Kansas airman pleaded guilty to three domestic violence charges in military court. Tech. Sgt. Jacob Frye was sentenced to 12 months confinement and will have a reduced rank — from Technical Sergeant to Airman Basic.
Frye was charged with assault and a charge of battery stemming from two separate incidents in two prior relationships. He admitted that in spring 2020, he grabbed his girlfriend’s neck at her home in Wichita. Though he said it was during an intimate moment, prosecutors argue it is part of a pattern of abuse.
Before a Court-Martial on Tuesday, Frye said he also hurt another girlfriend. They were driving home from a Christmas party in Hutchinson two years ago (December 2022). They fought, and prosecutors said he pulled out chunks of her hair. The woman spoke about the incident before the court on Tuesday and described it as a violent night that left her with spinal injuries.
