WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The latest report of a driver going over 100 mph comes from Rock Road near McConnell Air Force Base.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy stopped a motorcycle for going 102 mph in a 55 mph zone. It happened last Friday in the 4400 block of S. Rock Road.
“102 MPH on Rock Road—With School Buses Around!” the sheriff’s office posted on social media . “This happened at 4:00 in the afternoon—a time when traffic is heavy, people are heading home from work, and yes, school buses are on the road.”
“This kind of speed isn’t just illegal—it’s dangerous and irresponsible. A crash at that speed could have been catastrophic for the rider and everyone around them,” the sheriff’s office said…
