Road work to begin on U.S. 77 in Butler County

EL DORADO, Kan. (KSNW) — A resurfacing project is set to begin in early May on a 15.7-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 77 in Butler County, and drivers should expect delays.

The project will involve asphalt surfacing from the north city limits of El Dorado to the Marion/Butler county line.

Construction will begin around May 5 and continue through mid-July, depending on weather conditions. The Kansas Department of Transportation said in a news release that drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes during the project, as traffic will be directed by flaggers and a pilot car.
