WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Sedgwick County is again offering a coupon for free disposal of up to 1,000 pounds of bulky trash. Each coupon is valid for two months.
The coupon allows Sedgwick County residents to take their bulky waste to the Waste Connections Transfer Station, 4300 W. 37th Street North. Only one coupon is allowed per residence. The coupon is not for businesses.

The county provided examples of some things the coupon can be used for and some that are not covered.
Acceptable bulky waste items:
- Furniture,
- Rugs and carpets,
- Countertops, toilets, vanities, showers, bathtubs,
- Tree limbs,
- Large appliances that do not contain refrigerants, such as stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, washers and dryers,
- Console televisions and large televisions, and
- Swing sets.
Items NOT covered by the coupon:
- Tires,
- Mattresses and box springs,
- Appliances containing refrigerant,
- Liquids,
- Hazardous materials, and
- Commercially generated construction and demolition material.
The transfer station is open Tuesday through Friday from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m…
