Motorcyclist dies after south Wichita crash with school bus, police say

A 70-year-old motorcyclist died in a Wichita collision with a school bus that turned in front of him in South Wichita, according to Wichita police spokesperson Andrew Ford.

Richard Daniels was taken to Wesley Medical Center after the wreck around 4:49 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of East MacArthur and succumbed to his injuries Friday morning, Ford said.

“The initial investigation indicates that Mr. Daniels was traveling eastbound on East MacArthur when a school bus made a left turn in front of him, resulting in the collision,” Ford said in a news release. “Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the students or the bus driver.”…
