WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is a milder morning across Kansas with wake-up temperatures in the 40s and 50s. Later today will follow suit as highs climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s, or roughly ten degrees above average for late April.
Expect a few storms to form along a (dry line) boundary over southwest Kansas after 5 pm and then move east into south central Kansas after sunset through 11 pm. Some storms may be severe producing up to ping pong size hail, and damaging wind gusts up to 65 mph.
We will remain in an unsettled weather pattern through the weekend. While determining the strength of each round of rain and storms will be a challenge, strong/severe storms are possible on Wednesday, but unlikely on Thursday.
