WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A 34-year-old Wichita man went before a judge Friday afternoon and was charged in connection with a murder on South Broadway last week.
The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office charged Craig Steele with first-degree murder in the death of Eric Lopez-Morales, 33. Steele was also charged with criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied dwelling.
Investigators believe Lopez-Morales was involved in a physical altercation with several individuals in a motel parking lot near Broadway and Harry on April 17. Someone fired a gun. Lopez-Morales was hit and died at the scene…
