Law enforcement in Kansas offering drug takeback for prescription meds

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Kansas law enforcement officers want to make sure your unused prescription drugs don’t fall into the wrong hands.

In Sedgwick County, drop-off sites are at the Sedgwick County Zoo, the household hazardous waste facility and the Dole VA. They’ll be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The goal of National Prescription Drug Takeback Day is to prevent misuse by offering a safe way to dispose of your prescriptions. Solid medications like tablets and capsules are allowed, but you can’t bring liquids, syringes or illegal substances to Saturday’s event…
