WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The westbound K-96 ramp to Hydraulic Avenue in Wichita will close Tuesday, April 29, and remain shut down until early winter, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
KDOT says the long-term closure is needed for the installation of a temporary concrete safety barrier and striping work, which will help move the westbound K-96 North Junction project into its next phase of construction.
While it is closed, drivers will not be able to exit westbound K-96 at Hydraulic Avenue and should plan alternate routes. The work is part of phase 2B of the North Junction Gold Project, a major upgrade to one of Wichita’s busiest traffic areas.
