Wichita business reaches out to assure community after notice that patient with measles visited store

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The north Wichita store, where the Sedgwick County Health Department said a person with measles passed through, contacted 12 News on Thursday to clarify the case.

Carnicerías El Güero, a butcher shop and grocery store in Wichita’s Nomar District, is a favorite store among the Hispanic community for its variety of products.

But this week, people raised concerns after the Sedgwick County Health Department informed the public that a patient with measles had visited the store. The business reached out to 12 News to clarify the situation, as it doesn’t want the community to panic…
