Kansas Highway Patrol troopers assisted a stranded man who was walking southbound on Interstate 135 in dangerous foggy conditions early morning.
Several motorists spotted the man walking along the shoulder of I-135 just past Water Well Road and alerted authorities. Trooper Voss was first to locate the individual, who had spent the night outdoors and was attempting to return home to Newton on foot.
Although walking along controlled access highways like I-135 violates Kansas law, troopers determined that redirecting the man to rural two-lane roads would be equally dangerous given the limited visibility…
