WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Kansas Highway Patrol issued a warning about a text message scam involving t-shirts. The text claims to be selling a discounted shirt to support the KHP and includes a link.
The KHP said the text is from scammers trying to get personal information and issued a warning not to click on the link accompanying the text. The KHP clarified that it never sends unsolicited texts and does not sell shirts online.
“This text is not affiliated with or in any way connected to the Kansas Highway Patrol. It is a smishing attempt to gain access to personal information,” the KHP said…
