WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A Kansas community is reeling after the shooting death of one of its deputies, but support is coming in from across the state and country.
Phillips County Deputy Brandon Gaede died Friday after getting into a shootout while trying to arrest a man in Phillipsburg.
Gaede was shot and killed by 27-year-old Colton Griffith when the deputy was called to investigate the use of illegal fireworks Friday night. Before he died, Gaede shot and killed Griffith. The deaths rocked the county that’s home to less than 5,000 people…
