WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A 27-year-old man arrested after a deadly shooting in west Wichita is charged with multiple counts.
On Thursday, Elijah Fanning was charged with two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm. Court documents allege he fired into an occupied dwelling and an occupied vehicle. He is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

The shooting happened on June 29 in the 2700 block of W. 2nd St. N. Wichita police arrested Fanning on Monday and said they are still looking for another suspect. The shooting killed 26-year-old Nicholas Aldridge.
Fanning has a previous felony conviction for attempted kidnapping, which bars him from legally owning a gun, according to court documents.
He’s being held in the Sedgwick County Jail on a $1 million bond, and his next court appearance is tentatively scheduled for July 14…
