WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The City of Wichita is hosting an open house to discuss the draft master plan for the Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport.
The Wichita Airport Authority is developing the master plan for the airport’s overall maintenance, development, and operation for the next 20 years. Coffman Associates, a national aviation consulting firm that specializes in airport master plans, is preparing the study, which will take about 18 months to complete.
The plan is a requirement of the Federal Aviation Administration, which will also review and accept the master plan and approve two specific elements: the aviation forecasts as well as the Airport Layout Plan, a set of documents that show the current and planned future layout of all airport facilities…
