WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Wichita Police Department said an officer died by suicide on Friday. WPD said Officer Kylee Lawrence was off duty at the time of her death, according to the police department.
Lawrence was a five-year veteran of the Wichita Police Department who served in the Patrol North Bureau. The WPD held a moment of silence for Lawrence during its graduation ceremony Friday morning.
“Kylee will be deeply missed by all the members of the Wichita Police Department,” said WPD. “At this time, we ask for the community’s support to be shared with Kylee’s family and her co-workers at the Wichita Police Department.”…
