Beech Grove Police Arrest Louisiana Man Charged in Fatal Kansas Crash That Killed Wichita Family

Authorities in Beech Grove, Indiana arrested a man on Wednesday linked to a deadly crash that occurred on June 11 in Kansas. According to FOX59, Tyler Beauclaire, a 24-year-old from Louisiana, faces charges for the deaths of three family members after the pickup he was allegedly driving crossed into oncoming traffic on Highway 400 and collided head-on with another vehicle.

Affected by the tragedy were Wichita residents, middle school teacher Britton “Eliot” Eichbauer, 46, his son Arlo Eichbauer, 19, and his nephew Silas Eichbauer, 16. The collision not only claimed their lives but serious injuries were also sustained by two passengers in Beauclaire’s truck. A joint investigative effort involving Butler County sheriff’s investigators, Louisiana State Police, and the Beech Grove Police Department resulted in the arrest of Beauclaire as per KSN.

The arrest followed an issued warrant last Thursday, charging Beauclaire with three counts of second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery. Captured during a traffic stop while driving a white Nissan Armada SUV pulling a U-Haul trailer, WISH-TV reported the timing to be around 7 p.m. the previous Wednesday.
